GARY CARROLL NAMED AS ASSISTANT MANAGER

Arthurlie would like to announce that Gary Carroll has now joined the management team as assistant manager to Colin Reilly following his retirement as a player.

Speaking on Twitter, the club legend announced his decision to call time on his playing career and paid tribute to those who have helped him over the years:

“It’s finally time to hang up my boots after the confirmation that I need ACL reconstruction. I’ve been so fortunate and lucky to have had the amazing experiences throughout my career and grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had. Big thanks to all my team mates & managers”.

All at the club wish Gary well in his new role and would like to thank him for his services as a player, especially during the invincible season of 2021-22.

Mark Docherty has been named as Gary’s successor as club captain, with Michael MacNeil taking on the role of vice-captain.
