CLUB STATEMENT: POINTS DEDUCTION

The club regrets to confirm that it has been served notice of a pending three points deduction from the current West of Scotland Football League standings, due to fielding an inelligible player in the opening match of the season against Clydebank at Dunterlie.

Defender Callum Shields was carrying a two match suspension from last season and should have played no part in the match.

This has been an administrative oversight on the part of the club and, whilst desperately disappointed for the players, given their efforts in the recent win at Irvine Meadow, we accept the sanction.

Whilst now needing to move on swiftly, we will learn valuable lessons from this going forward.
